TuneChecker est un site web qui permet à qn de trouver de la musique numerique, et comparer les prix des providateurs comme iTunes Store, Amazon, etc. Je suppose que c'est utilisable n'importe ou, est qu'on peut acheter les MP3s comme ça.

Hmmm… I don’t usually plug products, but this one is pretty cool, so I thought I might share it.

I just purchased the Chemical Brothers album “Push the Button” from Amazon. But out of habit, I might have gone to iTunes Store first. However, the TuneChecker service allows you to search for the cheapest provider of albums and singles, as MP3s or CDs.

So, I was able to find out that the album I wanted was 25% less on Amazon than from the iTunes store. As an experiment, I searched for something a bit more obscure – Tom Waits’ old album, “Closing Time”. Available from Amazon and others, but not available from iTunes. Well, that’s good to know.

No problem for getting the downloaded music files into iTunes, either.

I am in no way affiliated with TuneChecker or MoneySavingExpert… I just think they’re really good!

Cillian’s Haiku

Saturday, January 16th, 2010

It is one whole year since Cillian was born (well, give or take a few hours!). Here’s a little haiku I wrote about him, a few days after we got him home. It refers to the fact that one of the doctors had described the way his head was tilted back being as though he were gazing at the stars…

The bright-headed boy
Gazes at the stars above
Wonders at the new
